The Center for International Private Enterprise, Washington has announced the Youth Essay Contest 2010

Introduction:

Democracy is the best political framework to unleash the creative energy of the people, particularly the young. When citizens must confront their governments in an antagonistic way or struggle under needless barriers built by the state just to live productive lives, then neither freedom nor free enterprise can flourish.

Eligibility:

Students and young professionals aged 18-30.

Last Date:

18 June, 2010

Essay Length:

2,000 – 3,000 words

Essay Categories:
Democracy that delivers
Entrepreneurship and society
Women and participation

Prizes: For each category, first, second, and third place authors will receive a $1,000 honorarium, and CIPE will publish winning essays.
